Ingredients for making Kothamalli Chutney
Kothamalli - 1 cup (finely chopped)
Fried gram - 1 tbsp
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Green chillies - 3
Tamarind - small lemon size
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
A sprig of curry leaves
Salt to taste.
Preparation of Kothamalli Thuvayal Chutney
1. Wash the kothamalli or coriander leaves with water.2. In a mixer take the washed kothamalli along with green chillies, fried gram, grated coconut, salt, tamarind and run the mixie. Open the lid add little amount of water and run again till you get a chutney consistency.
3. Transfer the contents to a bowl, season with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
Good accompaniement for any South Indian Tiffin.
