Maida biscuits also called as sweet Diamond Cuts are one of the easy to make kids snack which is prepared using maida and sugar. Sweet Maida biscuits are done at any festival occasion like Diwali, Krishna Jayanthi, etc. I learned this recipe from my Mom. She usually prepares during our Summer vacation.
Sugar - 1/4
Ghee - 1 tsp
A pinch of Baking Soda
A pinch of Salt
Oil - to deep fry
2. In a wide bottomed vessel add maida, ghee, salt, baking soda and mix well and then add the syrup and mix to form a soft dough.
3. Divide into equal sized balls, roll as chappathis and cut them into diamond shapes.
4. Spread this in a paper and allow this to dry till you have prepared all the diamonds,
5. Heat oil and then deep fry this in a medium flame till you get a golden brown color.
Store this in a air tight container.
Diamond cuts are ready for your kids.

1. Mix sugar in boiling water to form a syrup add water in a 1:1 ratio. Allow this to boil till the sugar dissolves.2. In a wide bottomed vessel add maida, ghee, salt, baking soda and mix well and then add the syrup and mix to form a soft dough.
3. Divide into equal sized balls, roll as chappathis and cut them into diamond shapes.
4. Spread this in a paper and allow this to dry till you have prepared all the diamonds,
