Pav Bhaji is one of the most famous and yummy street side spicy flavorful fast food recipe. Pav is a regular Indian bread roll and bhaji is a blend of mashed veggies and spices. Ingredients for making Bhaji
Pav bun - 8 nos.Butter - 8 tbsp
Onion - 1
Tomato - 2
Green peas - 1/2 cup
Capsicum - 1/2
Boiles and mashed Potato - 1 cup
Salt as required
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp.
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp.
Pav bhaji masala - 1 1/2 tsp.
Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 tsp.
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp.
Lemon juice - 1 tsp.
3 drops red food colour, optional
Water to adjust consistency
Method for making Pav Bhaji Masala
1. Heat 1 tbsp. butter in a large kadai and add vegetables, saute well add little water to cook and mash well.
2. Add 1 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp pav bhaji masala, 1 tsp kasuri methi and 2 tbsp coriander leaves. Saute well and then pat it on the sides of the kadai leaving a centre empty place.
3. Heat a tbsp of butter in the centre of the kadai and add finely chopped onions and saute well till transparent then add 1/2 tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp pav bhaji masala, kasuri methi, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, and lemon juice. saute well.
4. Mix with the veggies stuck to the sides of the kadai and then add 3 drops of red food colour and mix well.
5. Add little water, allow it to boil and mash for 5 minutes adjusting consistency.
Method for making Pav Bhaji
Cut the Pav buns in the centre and toast in butter. Now serve the toasted Pav buns with Pav Bhaji Masala, finely chopped onions and lemon pieces.
