Ingredients needed for making Ginger tea
Milk - 2 cupsTea powder - 3 tsp.
crushed or grated Ginger - 4 inch.
cardamom crushed - 3 nos.
Nattu sarkarai / Palm jaggery powder / suger - 2 -3 tsp.
Method for making Ginger tea
1. Heat 1/4 cup of water in a saucepan when it boils add the grated or crushed ginger and cardamom and allow it to boil for 1 minute.
2. Then add the tea powder and let it boil for 1 minute
3. Now add the boiling milk and allow the mixture to boil for 5 minutes in low flame. You need to boil till the juices and flavor of the ginger is released.
4. Next add the palm jaggery, simmer the flame for 2 minutes and switch off. Palm Jaggery or nattu sarkkarai is rich in iron and can always be substituted for white sugar.
5. Strain the content using tea strainer.
6. serve Hot Soothing Ginger Tea with snacks or biscuits.
