Moong Dal Pakoda / Pasi paruppu Pakoda is a Quick, crunchy easy to make Pakoda made using Moong dal. Instead of using Gram dal we soak and grind the moong dal and then grind it to a coarse texture and then add ginger, salt, onions, coriander leaves, and green chillies to give a flavour. Try this Moong Dal Bhajiya and serve either as a tea time snack or as a side dish for Lunch.

Ingredients to make Moong Dal Bhajiya | Pasiparuppu Pakoda
Yellow Moong Dal - 1 cup
Grated Ginger - 2 tbsp.
Saunf - 1 tsp.
Chopped Onions - 3/4 cup
Salt to taste
Chaat Masala - 1 tsp.
Green chillies - 2 nos. (chopped)
Coriander leaves - A handful
Oil for frying
Instructions to make Moong Dal Bhajiya | Pasiparuppu Pakoda
1. Wash the pasi paruppu and soak for 3-4 hours.
2. Drain the water and grind the moong dal in a blender to make a slightly coarse paste. You can add little water if required.
3. Take the ground moong dal mixture in a bowl and mix with your hands for 5 minutes to make it fluffy.
4. Add all the remaining ingredients to this mixture and mix well.
5. Heat oil in a kadai and When the oil is hot, simmer the heat to medium and drop small pieces of the mixture in the oil.
6. Fry the moong dal pakoda till it becomes golden brown colour.
Serve Moong Dal Bhajiya with any Variety rice or as a evening snack with coriander chutney.
