Mysore Pak is a tasty and delicious sweet Recipe which can be made easily at home. Mysore Pak is made using gram flour, ghee and sugar. Tastes yummy and has got a melt in mouth texture. This traditional sweet will be loved by people of all ages.
Gram Flour - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 cups
1 pinch baking soda
Ghee - 2 cups
Water - 1/2 cup
How to make Mysore Pak
1. The first step is to roast the gram flour. Add 1 cup of ghee to a iron kadai or heavy bottomed vessel and heat it over medium flame. Once the ghee is sufficiently hot, add gram flour and roast it for a few minutes. Roast until the raw smell goes away.
2. Transfer this to a plate. Now the gram flour is ready for Mysore Pak.
3. Next we need to prepare the sugar syrup. In a kadai, boil the sugar with water till it reaches one string consistency.
4. Next add the fried gram flour in it and stir well till it thickens.
5. Heat the remaining ghee and gently add the gram flour mixture. Keep stirring continuously or else lumps may form.
6. Once the ghee starts to leave the sides add the cooking soda.
Store in an airtight container and serve this to your loved ones.
